In and out of Los Angeles | 2018-2019
I moved to Los Angeles at the age of 9. The city itself is a melting pot of different cultures, self-expressions, and people. In Santa Monica, there are tourists flocking from all parts of the world attempting to fit themselves into this city; on Beverly Hill’s Rodeo Drive, the rich and those who pretend to be rich display their wealth conspicuously for the entire world to see. In two years’ time, I documented these two places that utterly define Los Angeles, that is, wealth, extravagance, and gilded beauty.
